Visiting WV this weekend, and I spent a couple hours this morning detecting on some family farm property. I focused on an area in front of a granary building where I found an 1873 Indian cent a few months back.
First good find was a brass buckle. Not too far away I got a nice squeak and dug up a 1900 Barber dime (new oldest U.S. silver). Third good find was a 1921 wheat cent, which was pretty dang deep. What’s cool is that these things were probably dropped by my relatives a hundred years ago.
(Not pictured: tons of aluminum trash)
An auspicious start for the weekend! Going to do a lot more detecting in the next few days and I will keep you all updated.
